|Life in the old dog yet!
I've had an awesome weekend. My friends were over from Oz to announce their engagement, which is fantastic news. Jess was back from travelling almost a changed person, definitely more chilled out. I've been all over London seeing people and we just finished it with some wine and telly. Not exactly rock n roll but there was a 4am finish this morning which I haven't done for a while!! Bring on the week.

And I met two girls who'd been to The Chap on the tube home. They looked amaZing and they'd won a prize for something to do with cycling and tea. Love it
I was planning to update regularly but, as usual, life gets in the way and I'm normally too tired or drunk to do it before I go to bed.
I've been to Amsterdam which was a lot bigger than I remember. My mum's appraisal of the holiday 'it wasn't as boring as I thought it would be.' Thanks mum.......
The handbag museum is amazing, the diamond museum less so but at least she saw a naked bike ride for the first time.
Tonight's party involved a butler in the buff which I really wasn't sure about. It kind of seems a bit retro and sad. However as it was entirely gay men (again a bit strange) it seemed perfectly normal. Although everyone we almost always stopped talking whenever he approached so I assume we were more intimidated by him than he was by us. Which i suppose makes it alright some how....

|A busy week
I've just had one of the best Prides ever. It was the culmination of a fantastic week of badminton, theatre, art and drinks that made super happy about being alive. My friend was reduced to tears because she was so unhappy about homophobia but it just made me realise that I have great friends who have my back. And I love you all xx

Faith No More. A band I last saw in my late teenage years just as I was coming out. Be Aggressive was a song that, although I wasn't quite sure of some of its meaning, I definitely understood ( a man singing I swallow, I swallow definitely made me sit up and listen!) There was definitely something about Faith No More that was a bit different. Probably a bit too different for my taste at that time because I was quite strict with my music taste and if you didn't fit into a certain pigeonhole then I didn't like you. Consequently I didn't like The Real Thing as much as I do now as I only liked the hits Epic, From Out of Nowhere and the thrashier ones like Surprise You're Dead and Woodpecker from Mars. It's only over time that I've started to love the whole album.
I do still love live music.
Now roll on Kylie on Sunday (cough, cough....)

When you find out that people you knew from your 'youth', no matter how tenuous, die suddenly it saddens you. Thomas was a character, for me, larger than life itself. That is how I will always remember him. I love my friends, I'll never ever tell them that enough. Xx

|Too much social media....
As I'm super excited about going to a quiz night hosted by the luscious soontobemyhusband Russell Tovey I joined Instagram just so I can follow him. It's exactly the same reason I joined Twitter. It's sad.

There are too many rules for proper gif going and I an way too drunk to discuss them.
However Jungle were exceptionally good live and worth everything live!!

|Crap telly #18763789
I do love RuPaul's Drag Race. I wish I could look like Sharon Needles. She totally rocks!!
I've lived in London for 16 years and have achieved another first tonight- Dancing with another drunk person up and down the carriage to Queen and David Bowie is much more difficult than it sounds although we pulled it off with the usual panache you'd expect from people who were drunk on a Monday night. My saving grace is that I wasn't the most drunk.....although that wasn't difficult!! Result!!!

I'm totally pissed after accompanying my friend Nita to the annual Pastery Chef dinner. It was amazing, there was even a lovely Jack Wilshere lookylikey as a waiter. Beautiful xx

Whilst everyone else watches water cooler telly on Netflix I'm devoted to crap stuff on E! like The Royals- a hilariously pish wannab soap opera about the royal family of England(!) featuring Liz Hurley and a cast of other 'actors'. Everything about it is shite yet I've watched every episode and really hope they show the second series here even off it's just for Liz's luscious lips!!!
Guilty pleasures? We shit 'em!!!!
At work today we had a brilliant presentation by older members of the London LGBT community talking about their lives and it struck a chord with me just how much they were involved in the political struggle during the 60s/70s and 80s.
I found out that one of my colleagues has a criminal conviction because of her protesting against section 28 and because of the nature of her job has to declare that regularly.
It did make me think that I should be more involved but thinking about these things is all I seem to do....
At least when I match at Pride this year I know that I'm doing it for all the LGBTQI+ people around the world who can't March or face violence of and when they try.

I dreamt last night that I had a small dog and that I really enjoyed it, which is unlikely to ever happen. Then, in between the alarm going off and me waking up, I dreamt I gave Rachel directions to Embankment in my bedroom and met Fraser coming out the bathroom.
Real life was a little strange when I bumped into two people this evening that I haven't see for about 10 years.

I know it's a bank holiday but who stays up until 2am these days.........?!?
|Saturday, May 23rd, 2015|
Oh my god! I'm watching a telly programme where members of the Lighthouse Family have said they were inspired by happy, trippy music from the 90s.........?!?!?!?!?!

Does anyone want my ticket for the Carter gig at Brixton Academy this Saturday?
